THE FAMILY MAN

I’m very proud of my family and friends. I was very lucky to have wonderful parents who instilled the right values and discipline when I was young. I remain extraordinarily close with my super popular mom who I talk to almost every day. She is my inspiration, and I credit her for all I have accomplished in life.

I’ve often said my favorite job in the world is being a dad. The challenge of parenting remains one of my favorite conversations. I have three spectacular children, two of whom are twins, who have all grown up to be productive, successful, and moral members of their communities. I couldn’t be prouder of them. I enjoyed my days teaching daddy boot camp at Chandler Hospital to expectant dads.

My wife Aye Thandar was born in a third world country and, against all odds, managed to become one of the most well-respected cardiologists in Arizona. She is an inspiration to all who are fortunate enough to know her. She is my rock in all circumstances. I have often said my favorite collection is the extraordinarily diverse group of people who I call my friends. I’m honored to say I have over 25 friends who I have remained close with for over 20 years. They are a special bunch of people; none of whom are surprised I’m endeavoring to change the world by running for the United States Senate. I’m so happy our paths crossed! I have a strong claim to be among the luckiest people in the world, and I’m grateful for it every day.
